The Honest Audacity of It All Exposed

Skewing the definition of what personal achievement should look like, audacity has become a goal. Audacity is not however, a one size fits all addition to your personality armor.

Consider the different types of audacity we once thought Veruca Salt and Trump exhibited as abhorrent.

‘I Deserve’ Audaciousness

A rather traditional form of audacity with roots in societal privilege – engrained from a young age. This audaciousness is from force of habit externalizing behaviorally across every part of an Audeserver’s life. Most popularly in the way they carry themselves and speak which often has notes of haughtiness.

Some may camouflage it quite well, but when nerves are fraught, the little gremlin rears its head. They get ahead because they exude confidence in their ability to succeed due to an invisible safety net that acts as the opposite of a glass ceiling.

*‘Why Not’ Audaciousness*

Nothing to lose, or a live or die life mindset was the purview of the rebel Gen X’er. They were avant garde and exciting for being so daring and original – it was a shame when their personalities were reduced to a medical condition.

Audaciounots can be created with a change to a person’s ethos on life for example coinciding with mid-life crises, yes, we see you.

‘Kill or be killed, eat or be eaten’ Audaciousness

Borne out of survival this form of audacity brings talent along with it, as its strong sustaining factor. This is the realm of the sharp witted, wordsmiths always on the attack or on the defensive. The coined term shade assassin was genius in regularizing the way this form of audacity manifests.

Audavivors can be a bit scary but once you understand their motivations, they can become your ride or dies because a hard earned trust is built. Read up on Jack London’s The Call of the Wild to fully appreciate your standing with them.

‘Enlightenment’ Audaciousness

This spiritual audacity is the least abrasive because it can be mystical and neatly be boxed up as an eccentricity. Who does not wish to dip out from time to time to a perception beyond the present, call it your mind’s inner eye if you will.

Seeing someone fully immersed into, and express a style of living that is unrestrained or uninhibited on the basis of adhering to an invisible power can be thought provoking. Audacioulighters operate in the environment predicated on a general populace respect [allegedly] and sometimes fascination for new and novel beliefs; outside the major faith edicts that may evoke suspicion in some.

In the end, it appears one does not adopt audacity, one BECOMES audacious through life circumstances triggering consistent behavioural change.

Looking at the underlying bases of audacious behaviour, the unaudacious you is just fine unless otherwise triggered.
